Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sridevi, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur in Karan Johar’s Shiddat
Karan Johar is all set to come up with his next film and guess what? It’s going to be one big multi-starrer. Co-produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala, the movie brings about six big stars together. While Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt reunite 25 years after Gumrah, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt come together on screen for their fourth film after Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur, who on the other hand, will be sharing the screen space for the first time.
Earlier Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor were supposed to be entangled in this love triangle, however neither of the stars had signed up for the film. A few months later, Alia was replaced with Sridevi’s daughter, Jhanvi Kapoor, while Varun signed up for the movie. Remember, we had revealed to you exclusively that Varun-Alia will take a break from pairing up in movies, looks like this was the first film to be affected cause of the deal. But, Arjun was still not convinced about his part and hence, looks like the makers have replaced him with Aditya Roy Kapur. While the OK Jaanu star will play the parallel lead along with Varun, he will also be seen romancing Jhanvi. Also, Madhuri Dixit and Tabu were in talks for Sridevi’s role before the Mom actress came on board, inform sources. A period love story, the film to be directed by 2 States director Abhishek Varman, will be shot extensively in India. It will roll by mid-2018.
