| Synopsis |
A romantic comedy, starring the heart throb of the nation - Salman Khan. A lonely orphan boy Raj (Salman Khan), arrives in Mumbai from Goa to fulfill his dream of becoming a top singer. After a long struggle and endless frustration, he realizes that his long awaited dream has nothing but a dark end. Destiny however has other plans for him. He witnesses a road accident and risking his own life, saves the life of a beautiful girl Pooja(Rani Mukherjee). Pooja sinks into coma due to the shock and her eccentric rich and loving family mistakes Raj to be her husband. Soon the mix-up escalates to comic propotions, as Raj to benefit from the family's contacts, fabricates a life with the girl who he has actually never met before. But his rickety castle in sky is threatened when Jhanvi (Priety Zinta) Pooja's best friend arrives. Jhanvi is not just Pooja's friend she is also like a member of the family and she smells something fishy. Somewhere in between his hysterical attempts to disprove Jhanvi's suspicion that he is a fraud, Raj falls in love with Jhanvi. At this juncture, to add to the already uproarious confusion, Pooja comes out of her coma and falls in love with Raj. He is forced to make a choice between the two without antagonizing the family members or loosing his love. |
